*IUOB*, the Interstellar Union of Banks, was formed during the Milky Way era. Requisitioned by the United Planets Federation during the war, it later regained its autonomy by forming partnerships with other conglomerates and diversifying its activities. Today, it controls the *QUASR* stock market, the surveillance firm *Ophanim*, and several financial institutions, casino chains and luxury restaurants. It is currently headed by *Edith Wei*.
