*The Company*’s public contracts include the operation and maintenance of *labor camps* for convicts serving long-term sentences. Prior to the associate worker program, most of these camps were mines. Today, they are moving spaceships in which The Company’s *space stations* are assembled. No legislation has ever been passed to regulate work conditions aboard these ships. All convicts who were detained before *Incident H-378* and the subsequent collapse of the United Planets Federation were lost.
